Does your child struggle with spelling, reading comprehension, or has a diagnosis of dyslexia? Did your child love to read and has recently lost interest? Is summertime a struggle?
We offer tutoring services with Anna, who is trained in and utilizes several different approaches including Orton-Gillingham, Lindamood-Bell, and the Barton Method.
The Orton–Gillingham Approach is a direct, explicit, multisensory, structured, sequential, diagnostic, and prescriptive way to teach literacy when reading, writing, and spelling does not come easily to individuals, such as those with dyslexia. The basic purpose of everything that is done in the Orton-Gillingham Approach, from recognizing words to composing a poem, is assisting the student to become a competent reader, writer and independent learner.
